Criticism
With painting like with all techniques, whether the art is figurative or abstract, in my mind it can only be good or of no significance. Like many of my colleagues, for numerous years I have been faced with various artistic expressions being treated unequally. Françoise Bolloré’s art has allowed me to revisit the countless remarks that have been made about abstract painting, and in particular lyrical abstraction. From time to time, I find a concept deeply pleasing due to its allure and qualities. And this is the case with Françoise Bolloré, for the reason that her work as a whole displays such coherence and such a subtle mirror effect in relation with the viewer.
The vibrant intensity of colour and mass that her brushstrokes generate is sufficiently rare to be highly praised. The effects that distinguish this artist’s paintings can be brightly dynamic, or at times more thought-out, but they always consist of the same love for conception and respect for expression. It is only natural that galleries and salons should exhibit this artist’s work; there has been no mistake, even for the demanding association Artistes Français. Indeed, we have no difficulty in letting our eyes happily slip into this effervescence that is tirelessly rediscovered and worked with impetus, mystery, and imagination, as though these were the keys to sharing a deep gaze with one another.
